This piece portrays a decisive scene: the night of King Storm’s invasion. Young Twilight Sparkle, a virgin alicorn, finds herself ensnared in her own chamber by Tempest Shadow. Outside, lightning cracks across the sky, while inside, an intimate and brutal confrontation unfolds. Tempest pins her against a window, her horn crackling with electricity, her wiry muscles stretched taut like cables.

Tempest’s body was crafted with care: inspired by the French military expression “chat maigre”, which refers to a lean, hardened fighter — someone slim, honed, without excess, yet formidable. Her shape is that of a warrior: functional musculature, efficient, conveying both speed and strength. She does not bear soft curves: she is a predator sculpted to dominate.

My central idea was to portray a Tempest who is doubly strategic. On one hand, she indulges in raw lust: to possess a virgin alicorn, a rare trophy and fantasy of domination. On the other, she acts by calculation: by corrupting Twilight in flesh, she pre-taints any future trial. The princess, compromised and marked, will never again be able to judge Tempest with neutrality.

I have rendered the work in multiple versions. The no futa version emphasises pure strength, muscles, and Tempest’s charisma as her only weapons. The futa version pushes lubricity into excess: a massive, heavy member, the symbol of her overreach and total dominance. In both cases, Tempest remains true to her essence: lesbian/trans, lascivious, but always tactician.

The open window is no coincidence. It is symbolic. Tempest accepts — perhaps even desires — for the scene to be seen. A witness— a passing Pegasus — may catch Twilight trapped. That outside gaze becomes yet another proof: her domination is not only carnal, but public, political, irrevocable.

With The Thrones and the Lightning, I wanted to depict Tempest in all her complexity: a warrior with a lean physique (inspired by the “chat maigre” ideal, not the animal), cunning and lascivious, using her body as a weapon and her desire as a tool. The work explores power, manipulation, pleasure and betrayal, distilled into a single night that will forever change a princess’s fate.
